Home Requirements: This course is taken after driver education completion in which students receives their pink or blue slip, DMV Forms DL387 or OL237. This is the vehicle skills portion for obtaining your license. The 6 hours of on the road course is required by the DMV, it consist of learning basic driving skills, vehicle safety techniques as well as preparation for the on the road test at DMV. The Behind-the-Wheel course consist of (3) three (2) two hour lessons that the student takes over a (6) six month period with intervals of every 2 1/2 - 3 months between each lesson to insure that the student is practicing the DMV Outline/Guideline Lesson Training Sheet issued to the student after the 1st Lesson. After each lesson students are given an evaluation form to let us know how the instructor techniques were conveyed to the student. Students can share this with their parents. This course meets all of the guidelines set by the Department of Motor Vehicle. Upon completion of the course students will receive a DMV certificate of completion, Form OL238 and will be eligible to take the on the road test after holding permit for (6) six month and be (16) sixteen years of age.
