Requirements: This course is taken prior too Behind-The-Wheel Training and is the knowledge portion for obtaining your permit. The (30) thirty classroom hours, which consist of (4) days either (2) weekends of Saturday and Sunday or (4) Week days on school breaks. The course consist of lectures, discussions, quizzes, videos, tests and field observations of simple mechanics of an automobile. This course meets all of the guidelines set by the Department of Motor Vehicle. Upon completion of the course students will receive a DMV certificate of completion, DMV form OL237 and will be eligible after Pre-Enrolling in Behind-The-Wheel Training to take the written portion of the permit test.
Required Documents for DMV: Forms OL237 (Completion of Drivers Education) & OL392 (Pre-Enrollment for Behind-The-Wheel Training), Birth Certificate (Original or Certified Copy) or Passport, Social Security Card, Application DL44 and $28 fee (as of January 1, 2010 it will be $31).
